Makers Make the Future
Building the future calls for creative solutions and a supportive community. As Making Space continues to grow, we’ve been thinking of tangible ways to contribute to Cebu’s creative infrastructure. Last year, we launched the Making Space Project Grant.

Carl Kho: Making Space Grantee 2024
The first recipient of our grant was student and digital product designer Carl Kho. He created Padayon Ko, an AI-powered scholarship platform for Filipino students. This project took part in the 2024 edition of Google’s Gemini API Developer Competition and won big at the AI for Impact APAC Hackathon 2024.
To support Carl Kho’s campaign for Padayon Ko, Making Space provided production equipment and a studio space to shoot his app’s promotional video.
After receiving an overwhelming amount of promising submissions, we’re bringing it back. This is Batch 2 of the Making Space Project Grant!
HOW TO APPLY?
ELIGIBILITY
WHO CAN APPLY?

The grant is open to all makers, crafters, and creatives in the Philippines who are developing and building a project between May to December 2025.

Applications are open to all types of projects and fields of specialization.

The project must utilize the facilities of Making Space: studio, gallery or makerspace.
APPLICATION
HOW TO APPLY? ​​​

Fill up a form at www.cebumakingspace.com/grants

Submit your project proposal on or before April 30, 2025.

Create an outline of all the facilities that you will be using at Making Space.

Draft a timeline of your project, including your proposed production schedule and working hours at Making Space.

In 500 words, answer the question: How can Making Space impact your project?

Promotion of Work on Making Space platforms

Please note that the Grant does not include any monetary compensation.
